The donors of the Catholic Education Foundation believe in the life-changing promise of Catholic education. And many donors choose to secure their legacy with an endowed scholarship, which allows them to give part of their estate to the Catholic Education Foundation to help grow the hearts and minds of future generations of Catholics.

One such donor was Gloria Konsack.

As a commitment to future generations of students at St. Mary Immaculate School, Mrs. Konsack designated part of her estate to establish the Gloria Konsack Endowed Scholarship Fund from which earned interest will provide financial assistance in perpetuity.

Since 2016, 33 students at St. Mary Immaculate in Plainfield have received financial assistance to attend the parish grade school because of Mrs. Konsack’s forethought and generosity.

Trish Mann’s daughter, Aisling, a second grader at St. Mary Immaculate, is a recipient of the Konsack scholarship.

“I’m a single mother and without the Konsack scholarship, it would have been extremely difficult to continue with her learning environment at SMI, where she is pushed to excel and do her best. I chose to send my daughter to SMI, because the school provides a rigorous education, exceptional teachers and staff, a loving community and a safe environment that reinforces our Catholic faith daily. Aisling’s education at SMI has helped her grow into her own light, stand in her truth and continues to strengthen her confidence by focusing on the love of Christ. We are so grateful to Mrs. Konsack for her generosity,” Mann says.
